Blue recycling bin (glass, cans and plastics)
Things that you can put in your blue bin are:
- Aerosol cans - e.g. shaving gel, polish, deodorant
- Cans - food and drink
- Coloured food trays
- Foil - food trays and tin foil
- Glass - bottles and jars
- Plastic bottles - e.g. milk, soft drinks, water, shampoo/conditioner, detergent, washing up liquid.
- Tubs/pots
Items must be clean, empty and have lids/tops removed.
Things that you can’t put in your blue bin are:
- Any household waste
- Cling film
- Engine oil bottles
- Plastic bags
- Polystyrene
- Pyrex
- Tetra Paks
- Window glass
- Lighter fluid
