Methods of payment
If you are finding it difficult to get the payments to us on time you may consider paying by:
- Direct debit - this will ensure your payment reaches us on time every month
- Standing order - details of when payments are due and amounts are on your bill
- Telephone banking
- Online payments
- In person at Post Offices, shops and outlets which display the PayPoint logo.
What if I do not pay?
If you do not make payments by the due dates, we may take legal action against you.
We recommend that you pay your rates bill by direct debit to ensure payments are made on time.
If you are having difficulty paying your bill please contact us as soon as possible.

If you are struggling with your payments or other financial commitments, and would like free and impartial advice, you may wish to contact Business Debtline.
Legal action
We can take legal proceedings for recovery of the total amount due. This includes the use of Enforcement Agents, Liquidation, Bankruptcy and Committal Proceedings.
