Rawtenstall Bus Station, located in the heart of Rossendale Valley, has become a hub of activity with the opening of two new businesses, Posh Living and Pizzaman’s.
Rawtenstall has quickly become a popular destination, thanks to its modern amenities and excellent transport links. The addition of these two new businesses at the station is set to further enhance the appeal.
Posh Living, owned by Russell Darlington, has relocated from Bolton to the Rawtenstall area. The new shop joins the already established Coffee Bagel located within the bus station concourse and offers a range of high-end home furnishings and decor. The addition of Posh Living is a positive step towards the development of the town, and Rossendale Borough Council welcome new businesses relocating into the area.
Commenting on the relocation, Russell Darlington said, “We are thrilled to have opened our new store in Rawtenstall. The support we have received from the local community has been fantastic, and we look forward to becoming a part of this vibrant town.”
Pizzaman’s, a new pizza restaurant owned by Michele Pillitteri, is just a short distance from A’Vucciria, which is owned by Michele’s father, Ignazio Pillitteri. This new venture is sure to become a popular destination for pizza lovers in the area.
Michele commented, “We are excited to open Pizzaman’s and to be part of the Rawtenstall community. We’re really looking forward to serving our delicious pizzas and becoming a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.”
The fit-out of both shops has been made possible through a combination of grant funding from Lancashire County Council’s Lancashire Economic Recovery and Growth Fund, Rossendale Borough Council along with contributions from each of the owners.
Leah Armitage, an Economic Development Officer for the council who managed the project said: “The grant money has allowed for the customisation of the units to the exact specifications of each new tenant. It has enabled the businesses to have access to essential services like electricity and plumbing that were not previously available.”
County Councillor Aidy Riggott, Lancashire County Council cabinet member for economic development and growth, said: “The Lancashire Economic Recovery and Growth Fund was established to boost our economy now as well as sow the seed for further investment in the longer term, and I’m very pleased that we’ve been able to help local businesses like Posh Living and Pizzaman’s establish themselves in Rawtenstall.
“We believe that investing in the local economy is essential to the long-term growth and success of the region, and we’re excited to see these businesses thrive in the vibrant Rossendale Valley.”
Cllr Alyson Barnes, leader of Rossendale Borough Council, said, “I’m delighted to see these two new businesses opening in Rawtenstall and contributing to the economic recovery of the area. The Lancashire Economic Recovery Grant has enabled us to help these businesses establish themselves in our town and make Rawtenstall an even more attractive destination for visitors.”
