Street Trading
Street trading consents are issued for a period of 12 months. Both the application fee and issue fee are payable with your submission of the application form. Once the application has been consulted upon and a decision has been made you will be notified of this. If your application is not issued you will be able to claim a refund of the issuing fee.
Payments can be made by using a credit or debit card by calling 01706 217777 or by cheque marked payable to Rossendale Borough Council.
Street trading may not commence until the fee has been paid and the consent granted and issued.
An application for a street trading consent will be submitted to the following authorities as part of the consultation process.
- Lancashire County Council Highways Authority
- Lancashire Constabulary
- Lancashire County Council Trading Standards
- Whitworth Town Council (if your application extends to an area located within Whitworth)

Renewing your consent
Applications to renew a street trading consent must be made in advance of the expiry of your current consent. Both the application fee and issue fee are payable with your submission of the renewal application form.
