Planning Appeals
Applicants are able to appeal against a decision of the Council to refuse an application, or against a condition attached to a planning approval.
In addition applicants can appeal where the Council has failed to make a decision within the statutory time period.
There are no third party rights of appeal where, for example, a resident wishes to object to the granting of planning permission by the Council. Appeals are made to the Planning Inspectorate who make the decision on behalf of the Secretary of State.
